Glitz Events 2012 in Review | #BizBash Awards + Special Thanks to Vendors

I must admit 2012 has been nothing short of AMAZING.  I started a new business GlitzPR & Marketing earlier this year, met and worked with some wonderful clients and President Obama has been elected for a 2nd Term.  Even though I’ve been focusing more on my public relations business, I still had the pleasure of producing some fabulous events this year.

I have been nominated along with some other fabulous Chicago planners for Social Event Planner of the Year in the BizBash Readers’ Choice Awards.  This is a “people’s choice” award and I need your vote to win.  Click HERE to vote for ME (Candace Polk | Category 12).  Voting ends Monday, November 12 at 11:59 p.m.  Whether I win or lose, I stepped out on FAITH and accomplished exactly what I’ve been working so hard to accomplish and I am very grateful and humbled to even be nominated.  Anyone who has worked with me or has been to any of my events knows firsthand what I do. I appreciate those who have already voted and shared the link.  Thanks for your continued support! xo

Some notable events that were executed in 2012 (by yours truly) were An Intimate Bridal Affair™ at Hotel Palomar in Chicago, Actor and Hip Hop Rapper Common’s organization Common Ground Foundation’s Official After Party at Chicago Illuminating Company and Chicago Bulls player Derrick Rose and long-time girlfriend Mieka Blackman-Reese’s coed baby shower at Trump International Hotel & Tower.

Here is a collage of pictures from the events I planned that are mentioned above.

Congrats! to Derrick and Mieka on the birth of their son.  It was truly an honor to work with them both and I wish them nothing but the BEST. ~Candace

Yesterday Derrick Rose (@drose) tweeted photos of he and Mieka’s beautiful baby son.

I also want to thank ALL the vendors, media support and bloggers who helped me to make each event I worked on this year a success.  If it were not for them, I would not have been able to make “IT” happen.
