I enjoy being surrounded around positive people and last night was no exception. My friend and colleague Catrice Armstrong of PR Werks, LLC and Publicist to the Stars invited me to an intimate soiree that Cameka Smith, Founder of The BOSS Network was hosting at The Ogden.
I was surrounded by some talented and beautiful ladies from The BOSS Network, a women’s networking organization dedicated to highlighting, connecting, and empowering professional women and entrepreneurs while creating opportunities for growth through networking beyond events.
I was honored to mingle with Deborah Brown, Director of Community Relations at NBC; Press Secretary to Mayor Emmanuel, Tarrah Cooper; and Deida Massey, celebrity makeup artist and founder of Reel Beauty, just to name a few. I also had the pleasure of meeting two ladies, Rhea Henderson (Founder of R.H. School of Performing Arts) and Danielle Wideman (Brand Manager of R.H. School of Performing Arts) who will be hosting a male and female open model call for high school students to participate in Prom Fantasy 2013 today from 5pm to 8pm at the R. H. School of Performing Arts, 1014 East 47th Street, Chicago, IL 60653. If you have any children in high school, I encourage you to send them to this positive experience. On November 10, 2012 from 3pm to 6pm, The BOSS Network will be hosting “Networking Event and Career Expo” at Ven Sherrod Loft Studio, 1906 S. Halsted, Chicago, IL. This event will feature a Power Professional Panel of Women who will share their insight on networking, careers, entrepreneurship plus more. Click HERE for more information. Until next time…
