The Common Ground Foundation PRESENTS “An Evening with Common!”

With all the killing and crime going on with our youth in Chicago today, it is refreshing to know that Chicago’s own hip hop artist and actor, Common has an organization whose mission is to use creative arts to expose youth to new opportunities.

This Saturday (April 14) Common’s organization, Common Ground Foundation will be hosting its annual gala and fundraiser at The Ritz-Carlton Chicago to raise funds to support our youth.  The foundation targets inner city youth, ages 13-15, through programs, partnerships, and volunteerism.  The gala and fundraiser this Saturday is sold out, however if you would still like to make a donation, visit http://www.commongroundfoundation.org/donate-now/.

For those who are disappointed in not attending the Gala this Saturday, there will be an After Party at the beautiful Chicago Illuminating Company from 10pm-2am.  Beats by Mark Fuller, TWILITE TONE AND VINCE ADAMS.  Hosted by Kenny Johnson, Mark Fuller & THE MAN HIMSELF COMMON.

Hope to see you there!

Ciao!

In Common’s own words, “I started the Common Ground Foundation because I wanted to help. Most of all help people to help themselves. I always believed that if we started with the youth then we would be planting the seeds for our future to blossom. Give the children a sense of hope, self-esteem, and love that will better the world…I think making a difference in the lives of others is life’s greatest purpose. I walk this path with faith knowing that the Common Ground Foundation will Change the World.”– Love, COMMON”
